Alaina Binfet has a passion for bodies! As a yoga instructor and massage therapist, she's dedicated to understanding how our bodies move and function, and how we can keep them free of tension and injury.  With a background in massage therapy and health science, Alaina tends to focus on alignment, anatomy, and physiology in her yoga classes, and enjoys blending in other holistic practices such as massage, acupuncture, fascial release, sound therapy, and various forms of physical fitness. She also loves to teach the gentle, healing, and meditative type classes such as Restorative Yoga. She believes that practicing yoga for one’s body is just as important as practicing for one’s mind and spirit, and that it can be used as a natural approach to healing. Alaina received her 650-hr certification for Massage Therapy from Montana School of Massage and has been a practicing massage therapist for the last 18 years. She has a degree in Health Science and is a 500 E-RYT; having received her 200-hr certification from Blossom Yoga Teacher Training in Laramie, WY in 2015, and her 300-hr certification with Porters Neck Advanced Teacher Training in 2018. She is a Level 1 MELT Method instructor & working on her Level 2 certification.

Peak Pose Play Time

Who doesn't love time to play in their practice?! This class is all about having fun while building up toward TWO peak poses - Flamingo and Fallen Flamingo. We will focus on alignment, strength through functional exercises, and properly warming and opening areas of the body specific for these two poses. As with all yoga classes, the goal is not to accomplish the poses with flawless execution; the goal is to grow in our practice and gain a better understanding of our bodies as we move with intention.

Session 3, 11:00am-12:15pm, In the Barn
