You go to most conferences, conventions, or trainings and you are most likely to receive "swag." But have you ever thought about what swag is? I mean, seriously wondered about it...enough to research it? Well, we did, of course!
And out of all of the definitions out there on the interweb, there were two that really stuck with us.
The first is the most practical in describing swag as an acronym - S.W.A.G. represents "Stuff We All Get."
But, our very favorite explanation came from vocabulary.com:
Swag refers to valuable goods, often obtained illegally. Just because your friend has a bag of swag does not make him a pirate (although the patch and wooden leg might say otherwise). Generally meaning “loot, booty, or plunder,” swag is the stuff in the bags of excited party-goers and plunderers alike.
